Mechanical Engineering
The Mechanical Engineering Department provides a wide range of engineering services which include all aspects of mechanical engineering from plumbing, heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for buildings to site energy supply systems, fire sprinkler systems to specialty systems such as computer areas and laboratory locations. While typically working as a consultant to other parts of the construction team, the mechanical engineering team can also provide feasibility studies, preliminary design and cost estimating, preparation of working drawings and specifications, construction management and contract administration.

Professional Engineers:
Mechanical Engineering Services
The varied experience of the Professional Engineers in the Mechanical section allows the accomplishment of many types of work and projects for clients in government, educational, institutional and commercial fields. While a large part of our work is as a sub-consultant to architects, many of the mechanical engineering services are provided directly to the client, especially work involving fire sprinkler, cost inspections, steam distribution and chiller replacement. Testing equipment available includes sound level meters, pressure differential instruments, hygrometers, fire flow and air flow. Air flow studies can be provided for determining building distribution problems. Our firm is certified for fire flow measurements for calculation of fire sprinkler systems. The design of mechanical systems for buildings is a large part of our practice. Recent projects which the firm provided engineering include high rise construction, football stadiums, high rise detention facilities, and large research buildings for universities. In addition, the provision of construction management services both as a prime source and as a consultant is an increasing part of our practice.
