Keith Rogers, PE Vice President

As Vice President of BASS, NIXON & KENNEDY, Inc. Keith has directed and provided engineering design and project management for a wide variety of commercial, industrial, and research facilities ranging from 2,000 to 300,000 square feet. His experience includes Class A office buildings, hotels, interior fit-ups, restaurants, renovations, schools, federal and state projects, high-rise buildings, large data centers and laboratory facilities.

Keith is a graduate of North Carolina State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

EXPERIENCE:
1984 - PRESENT

  • Mechanical Engineer and Principal in the firm of Bass, Nixon & Kennedy, Inc., offering services in the fields of Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection, and Land Surveying. Work experience includes: design, layout, and computer-aided drafting primarily of commercial, institutional and industrial Plumbing and HVAC systems including special applications, i.e., clean rooms and controlled environment rooms. Responsible for heating and air conditioning load calculations, energy cost calculations, equipment selections, duct work and air conditioning, hydronic piping, steam piping, high and low pressure gas piping, shop drawing review, job inspections, plan checking and job coordination with other trades, both architectural and engineering. Fire protection experience includes experience with both wet and dry piping systems, standpipes, and fire pump design. Certified by the City of Raleigh to perform fire flow testing. Other duties include computer maintenance, software and hardware modifications as well as CADD training.
