As building code requirements have become more stringent regarding the fire protection and life safety systems for buildings, Fire Protection Engineering has evolved as a specialty need engineering service. Our mechanical and electrical departments provide a wide range of services from complete fire alarm systems to complete fire protection systems of all hazard levels for buildings. Fire protection engineering services include feasibility studies, preliminary design and cost estimating, preparation of working drawings and specifications, construction management and contract administration. Services are offered to architects, building owners, industry and contractors.

Description of Fire Protection Engineering Services

The varied experience of the Fire Protection Engineers in our Mechanical Department allows the accomplishment of many types of work and projects for clients in government, educational, institutional and commercial fields. While a large part of our work is as a sub-consultant to architects, much of our fire protection engineering work is provided directly to the client. Testing equipment is available for fire flow certification. Our firm is certified for fire flow measurements for calculation of fire sprinkler systems. Recent projects for which the firm provided engineering include high rise construction, football stadiums, detention facilities, and historical restoration. In addition, the provision of construction management services both as a prime source and as a consultant is an increasing part of our practice.
